Nebraska Right to Life launched its first fundraising event, Nebraska Walk for Life Gala, on Friday, January 27, 2023, the evening before its annual Walk for Life. The inaugural event was a historic opportunity to celebrate the end of abortion on demand in America with the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v Wade, honor pro-life efforts in our state, remember the lives ended by abortion, and support the work of Nebraska Right to Life. Guest speaker for both the Gala and the next day’s Walk for Life was Dr. John Bruchalski, a pro-life OB/GYN who performed abortions before an encounter with God. The Gala also included giving out the first Julie Schmit-Albin Leadership Award and the first Light for Life Award.
